Psyche revived by Cupid’s kiss (1793) by Antonio Canova

whenever something bad happens to me, i always think about this boy who called into Teen Line one shift I was working on. I was on the phone with him for most of my shift and at the end he was crying and he thanked me for saving and changing his life. I use him and his words to remind myself that I might be a good person and good things can and should happen to good people

i find myself repeating to myself over and over again that good things can and will happen to good people and i might be a good person—i am a good person—why is this happening to me—*cycle of words repeats itself*

Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water. If you can’t go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.
